MMI is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under each Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Billing information is not store in the ManagedMissions database but is transmitted to the payment processor in order to process the financial transaction. Donations to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are usually tax-exempt. ManagedMissions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, but it’s important to note that all donations go directly to the specific organization using ManagedMissions. As a result, the tax-exempt status of these donations depends on the tax policies of that individual organization.
When you use our Services, we use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your location, and your activities on our website, information about your device and log information. Our site is encrypted with SSL encryption in transit and at rest to keep your data secure. Credit Card information is not collected or stored in ManagedMissions. We restrict access to personal information to MMI employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our service. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations. In the event ManagedMissions experiences a data breach, all affected individuals will be notified promptly via email to ensure they are informed and can take necessary precautions. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law in the United States that protects the privacy of student education records. FERPA gives parents and eligible students (those over 18 or attending postsecondary institutions) the right to access their educational records, request corrections to inaccuracies, and control the disclosure of their information. Schools are required to obtain written consent from students or their parents before releasing personally identifiable information, with certain exceptions such as for school officials with legitimate educational interests or in response to legal requirements. FERPA aims to ensure that educational records are kept confidential and handled responsibly. To maintain FERPA compliance, ManagedMissions recommends that schools obtain proper consent before supplying student information to ManagedMissions.
To the extent that personal information is transferred to the United States from countries other than countries within the European Economic Area and Switzerland, including personal information that is transferred from Canada, we employ similar safeguards such as selecting third party vendors carefully, ensuring personal information will be used and disclosed only as set out in this privacy policy and that it is protected by appropriate security safeguards.
However, in connection with these transfers of personal information, your personal information may be subject to privacy laws that may not provide the same protection as your country of residence.
